Since the beginning in 1981 Sampet has been an active player in Indonesian shipping. From its origin as an oil trader and later as tanker chartering agent for the oil and gas industry, the commitment has always been to the development of Indonesia.
After obtaining a Shipping Business License in 1988, Sampet further developed into a fully integrated shipping company, which today includes ship chartering and brokerage, offshore support services, ship agency, ship management and crewing.
In 1993 the company divested from its oil trading activity and started concentrating on its core activity, shipping services and energy transportation.
In 2001 the company concentrates in ship chartering, brokerage, and ship agency.
